BLCPS is the first Collective Management Organization licensed by the Government of Bangladesh, representing composers, lyricists, and music publishers to support fair royalty collection and distribution.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using joinblcps.org, submitting an application, uploading documents, creating a member account, or signing an agreement through the portal, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
If you submit information on behalf of a publisher, company, legal heir, applicant, or other person, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
2. Purpose of the Portal
The portal allows individual creators, legal heirs, and publisher applicants to submit membership applications, supporting documents, work information, payment details, and related records to BLCPS for review and administration.
Submitting an application does not automatically create membership or guarantee approval. BLCPS may review, request more information, approve, reject, suspend, or cancel an application or membership in accordance with its rules, procedures, agreements, and applicable law.
3. Applicant Responsibilities
- Provide true, accurate, current, complete, and authorized information.
- Upload documents that are genuine, legible, lawful, and relevant to the application.
- Keep contact, identity, representative, banking, and work information updated.
- Use the portal only for lawful membership, rights administration, and related BLCPS purposes.
- Protect login links, passwords, verification links, and account access credentials.
- Notify BLCPS promptly if information changes or if you suspect unauthorized account access.
4. Prohibited Use
You must not misuse the portal, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, upload malicious files, submit fraudulent information, impersonate another person or entity, infringe third-party rights, or use the portal in a way that violates law or BLCPS requirements.
5. Application Review, Agreements, and Signatures
BLCPS may require applicants to execute membership forms, assignment deeds, declarations, consents, or other agreements. Electronic signature workflows may be used to support this process.
You are responsible for reviewing all information before submission or signature. A submitted form, uploaded document, or signed agreement may be relied upon by BLCPS for membership administration, rights management, royalty processing, audit, and legal purposes.
6. Fees and Payments
Application processing fees, payment methods, bank details, royalty disbursement methods, and related requirements may be displayed in the portal or communicated by BLCPS. You are responsible for ensuring payment details are accurate and that any required application fee is paid using an accepted method.
7. Intellectual Property and Submitted Materials
The portal, design, software, text, forms, and BLCPS branding are owned by or licensed to BLCPS and may not be copied, modified, or misused except as needed to use the portal for its intended purpose.
You retain responsibility for the accuracy and legality of work information, ownership details, releases, links, documents, and other materials you submit. By submitting materials, you grant BLCPS permission to use, store, review, reproduce, process, and share them as needed for application review, membership administration, copyright management, royalty distribution, compliance, and related operations.
8. Communications
BLCPS may contact you by email, phone, portal message, or other contact details submitted through the portal for verification, application updates, document requests, agreement signing, member administration, service notices, and related communications.
9. Service Availability
BLCPS aims to keep the portal available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-secure operation. The portal may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, outages, provider issues, security events, or circumstances outside BLCPS control.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The portal is provided to support BLCPS application and member administration. To the extent permitted by law, BLCPS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the portal.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or responsibilities that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Suspension or Termination
BLCPS may restrict, suspend, or terminate portal access where needed to protect security, investigate misuse, respond to inaccurate or unauthorized submissions, comply with law, or enforce these terms and BLCPS rules.
12. Governing Law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in Bangladesh, unless a mandatory law requires otherwise.
